Mechanical Engineer · Astrophysics Minor
Northeastern University · Graduating December 2026
Background
I am a mechanical engineering student at Northeastern University with a minor in astrophysics, graduating December 2026. My experience spans optical engineering, mechanical design, astrophysics research, and robotics, and I am at my best when the work moves between the screen and the workshop in the same day.
Through co-ops at LineSpect and Lutron Electronics I developed strong skills in CAD (Inventor, Creo), precision prototyping (SLA/FDM), tolerance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. At Northeastern's Aramaki Lab I build detector arrays by hand for a cosmic ray experiment, and as the mechanical lead of a student robotics team I coordinate design through fabrication and testing. This combination of practical engineering experience and a deep curiosity for fundamental physics is what drives my work.
I also host The Art of Inquiry, a podcast about researchers and thinkers whose work crosses disciplines, and I founded Boston Clothing Outreach, a community initiative combining design with social impact. I speak English and Spanish natively and Italian at an intermediate level, and I hold EU citizenship. Outside of work I swing dance, write poetry, and am always looking for the next live jazz show.
Work
Designed and prototyped precision optical housings for a submersible microscope predicting harmful algal blooms. Fast-paced startup where the work moved between CAD, the 3D printer, and the soldering station in the same hour.
